When someone needs a cleaning service, they grab their phone, search “house cleaning near me” and decide within minutes who to contact. They don’t pick the cheapest or the biggest company: they pick the one that earns their trust fastest. Your website is what has to make that happen.
This is the checklist we use when we design websites for cleaning companies. See how many points yours covers.
1. Your services, explained in one line each
Residential, commercial, move-in/move-out, deep cleaning, offices, vacation rentals. Customers want to confirm in seconds that you do exactly what they need. Skip long paragraphs: a heading and one clear line per service.
2. A way to request a quote without calling
Many people would rather not call. Offer a short form (cleaning type, home or office size, city and date) and a WhatsApp or text button with a pre-written message. Fewer steps means more quote requests.
3. The areas you serve
List the cities and neighborhoods you cover. It helps twice: customers instantly know whether you come to them, and Google understands where to show your business when people search in that area.
4. Real reviews
Before letting someone into their home or office, people read reviews. Show your Google reviews and link to read more. If you only have a few, ask your current customers for one this week.
5. Before and after photos
A good before-and-after photo beats any amount of copy. Use photos of real jobs, well lit, without any personal details from your clients.
6. Insurance, licenses and a guarantee
If your company is insured or licensed, show it. If you offer a guarantee (“if something isn’t right, we come back for free”), make it big. These details separate a professional company from a side hustle.
7. Fast on mobile
Most of your visitors come from a phone. If the site is slow, they leave for a competitor. Light images, no filler text and big buttons.
8. English and Spanish, if you serve both
In Florida many cleaning companies serve both American and Latino customers. A version in each language opens both doors, and Google can show each version to the people searching in that language.
9. The same contact details everywhere
Use the same business name, phone number and address on your website, Google Business Profile, Facebook and Instagram. That consistency helps Google trust your business and show it more on Maps.
10. A complete Google Business Profile
It isn’t part of your website, but it works hand in hand with it. Fill in categories, hours, service areas and photos, and post something every week. Link your profile to your website and your website to your profile.
How many points does your website cover?
If yours covers fewer than 7, you are probably losing customers who were already looking for you. Request a free audit and we will tell you within 24 hours what to fix first. Don’t have a website yet? See how we build websites for cleaning companies.
